Green Tea and Breast Cancer

Animal test tube laboratory studies have suggested that the Green Tea plyphenol anti oxidants actually inhibit the growth in breast cancer cells. One particular study which involved 472 women in various stages of breast cancer suggested that women who consumed the most Green Tea, experienced the least amount of cancer spread. This was particularly evident in premenopausal women who were in the early stages of the disease. Additionally, researchers found that those who drank 5 or more cups of Green Tea every day before being diagnosed were less like to suffer a relapse in the disease once their treatments were complete. Findings were not all positive however. Women with late stages of the disease showed little to no improvements from drinking Green Tea. While it has yet to be proved inconclusively, there is good evidence that Green Tea may have some beneficial effects on at the very least slightly reducing the odds of breast cancer. Even if Green Tea was found to only reduced your odds by a couple of percentage points, it is such an easy thing to include Green Tea in your everyday diet.
